We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Niagara Health. As a Diagnostic Imaging Professional, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of imaging excellence.
About the RoleThis temporary full-time position is responsible for performing diagnostic exams, documenting results, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment and Exam Completion: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, perform diagnostic exams, and document results accurately and efficiently.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care, communicate clearly with patients and families, and maintain confidentiality as required.
- Quality Assurance and Safety: Adhere to standards of practice, guidelines, and protocols to ensure safe and competent exams, identifying areas for quality improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Education and Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
- Certification: Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in Nuclear Medicine M.R.T. (N.).
- Experience: One year of experience in nuclear medicine within the past five years in a hospital setting.
- Skill and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and skill in producing and assessing diagnostic images, commitment to continuing education, and application of relevant legislation and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits: This role offers a competitive hourly wage range of $36.84 - $50.24, reflecting your value to our organization. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health, dental, and life insurance, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
Location and Schedule: The successful candidate will be based at the St. Catharines Site, with flexibility to work at two or more sites as required. A regular attendance record is essential for this role.
