Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health and/or concurrent disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and education to clients and their families
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor client response
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing
- Two years of recent experience in mental health nursing
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
