About the Role

As a key member of the First Nations Health Authority team, you will provide executive, strategic, and operational leadership to the Regional Team. This includes regional engagement, operations, and support services, such as funding arrangements, nursing, environmental public health services, mental health and wellness, programs supports, finance, HR, community capital, accommodation, and IM/IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive and strategic regional leadership to Partnership Accord implementation, working in collaboration with communities and Regional Health Authorities to develop innovative and culturally appropriate approaches to and service models of health and wellness for health system transformation in the Region.
  • Support the regional presence through the development of, and leadership to, the regional team, and in partnership with the regional health system to operationalize province-wide aspects and initiatives to nation and regional plans and strategies.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff members, including Directors, Managers, specialists, and other staff.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

  • A University Degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A Master's Degree in a relevant field is considered an asset.
  • Recent, relevant, and significant experience in leading health operations in a regional setting, usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years.
  • Recent, relevant, and significant experience in strategic leadership of diverse teams engaged in community engagement and operations, usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years.
  • Recent, relevant, and significant senior management experience in First Nations Health, usually acquired over a period of 10 or more years.
  • Experience working with First Nations/Aboriginal people at a community and/or political level, including work in the area of community engagement and community/organizational development and health.
