About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Transactions Specialist to join our team at Indus Travels Inc. This is a remote position that requires strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial documents, including invoices and accounting records;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial spreadsheets and files;
- Analyze financial data to ensure timely payment of liabilities and other obligations;
- Process transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
- Routinely reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies;
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues related to supplier invoicing and payments;
- Post journal entries as necessary and prepare financial reports for management review;
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience;
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related accounting experience;
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
- Prior experience in a travel company is a plus;
Work Environment
- This is a remote position with normal business hours or flexible scheduling;
- The ideal candidate will be self-directed and motivated with a strong work ethic;
- Occasional meetings may be required with the Senior Accountant/Controller or other team members.
Compensation
$60,000 - $70,000 per year based on qualifications and experience, plus benefits.
