Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Financial Officer to join our team at Columbia Dungeness Crab Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and maintaining general ledgers.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with 30 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Payroll Administration: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure financial stability and growth.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and prepare necessary reports for management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Windows, and MS Word.
