About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of People Operations to join our team at Tempo. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping our company culture and driving business success through strategic people planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives, including talent management, organizational design, and employee engagement.
  2. Lead the recruitment process, ensuring we attract and retain top talent to drive business growth.
  3. Champion our company values and culture, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  4. Collaborate with senior leaders to drive strategic people planning initiatives, including staffing forecast and headcount planning.
  5. Own the employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring seamless transitions and exceptional employee experiences.
Requirements
  1. 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in senior manager roles, preferably in a growing tech company.
  2. Proven leadership skills, with a focus on enablement, feedback, and growth, including situational leadership.
  3. Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment law and best practices, with a bonus for additional experience with EMEA, particularly Nordic unions and UK.
  4. Exceptional analytical skills, including Google Sheets, Excel, and statistical models, with a strong desire to cultivate and produce results as a team.
  5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a heavy async organization.
