About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of People to join our team at Tempo. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping our company culture and driving business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic HR initiatives to optimize our business partner, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and other people programs.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and the Finance team to drive forward strategic people planning initiatives, including changes to staffing forecast and headcount planning.
  • Build, develop, and optimize HR metrics, and propose strategies to foster workforce management improvements.
  • Champion and operationalize our core values, and help build/maintain an awesome company culture while keeping our people informed and engaged.
  • Develop and implement a variety of HR initiatives, including performance management, compensation benchmarking, total rewards, management training, DIBs, global mobility, and more.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in senior manager roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment law and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, including Google Sheets, Excel, and understanding of statistical models.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience working in a remote-first environment.
  • Previous experience with M&A and post-merger integrations an asset, especially in a private equity environment.
