Job Summary

The Regional Dietitian Practice Initiatives Lead will provide leadership in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the scope and standards of clinical practice identified by regulatory bodies and Fraser Health. This role will work in collaboration with the health team to establish Fraser Health as a provincial leader in clinical best practice and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in knowledge translation, clinical practice assessment, advice, education, and practice development to advance quality clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with clinical programs/sites, settings, regional committees/structures, management/operations, Practice Leaders, Professional Practice, and external partners to promote consistent care and standardization of evidence-informed best practice.
  • Develop and implement program planning that supports best practices, improved access, and efficient flow of care across the care continuum.
  • Support compliance with legislation and regulations for dietitians and College of Dietitians of BC Professional Standards of Practice, Professional Scope of Practice, and Ethical Standards of Practice.
  • Identify current practice needs and future directions, review current best practices, and develop and document implementation plans.
  • Presents recommendations and collaborates with various operational teams and physicians impacted by changes to practice.
  • Lead and support team activities, analyze issues, direct project activities, integrate new technology, and develop workplans in collaboration with Dietitian Leadership.
  • Foster strategic and working relationships with internal and external partners to share knowledge, monitor practice trends, and identify opportunities to promote innovation.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related discipline from a recognized educational institution.
  • Successful completion of an approved dietetic practice education program.
  • A minimum of seven years' recent related clinical and/or education experience in a complex health care environment.
  • Current registration with the College of Dietitians of BC.
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
