About the Role

3A Renos Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring, cutting, and fitting them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Apply coats of plaster, mixing ingredients to the desired consistency and smoothing out excess compound.
  • Sand seams and joints to create a smooth finish.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs in the finish coat if required.
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring and cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied.
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs and metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts and utilize a laser alignment system.
  • Estimate costs and materials and operate CADD and other computer software systems.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be a team player, and have a client-focused approach.
