About the Role

3A Renos Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing
    • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit
    • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Supervision and Teamwork
    • Supervise and instruct apprentices in drywall installation techniques
    • Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Preparation and Maintenance
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
    • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
    • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Specialized Tasks
    • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
    • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
    • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
      • Will train
    • Physical Demands
      • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
      • Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
    • Personal Qualities
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills
      • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
      • Dependability, reliability, and flexibility
    Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with regular exposure to dust, noise, and physical demands. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
