About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at NORTHCON CORP. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to meet precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Installation: Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners, ensuring a smooth and durable finish.
  • Joint Filling and Smoothing: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife, and smooth out excess compound to achieve a seamless finish.
  • Sheet Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Taping and Embedding: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, ensuring a strong and durable bond.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, flexibility, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
