Job Summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled Operating Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boilers and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established standards, procedures, and policies to ensure the effective operation of boilers and related equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to write job order requests, order parts, and make repairs as needed.
  • Record all required readings and maintain accurate records regarding the operation of Plant Operations.
  • Perform tests on boilers, chillers, and condensate tanks to determine proper chemical levels.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment and its operation.
  • Stationary Engineers Certificate.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers and related equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Millwright COQ.
  • Hospital experience.
