About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Mcewan. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training for cooking staff.
  • Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff to meet the needs of our growing culinary team.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
