About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Sunny Side Up. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our menu offerings are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure that all team members have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and control food costs, including labor, ingredients, and supplies.
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Ensure that the kitchen and all equipment are clean and well-maintained.
    • Implement and enforce strict food safety and handling procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of success in menu planning, execution, and inventory management.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
