Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at City South Pizza. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 35 hours per week. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 staff members, including training them on job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and implement work schedules to meet business demands and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Sourcing Supplies: Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Team Management: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols to maintain high standards of quality and service.
  • Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to management on key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and initiative.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring physical stamina and flexibility.
