About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Procurement Lead to drive McCain's global sustainability efforts, focusing on procurement strategies that support our environmental goals. The successful candidate will lead the development of a comprehensive Scope 3 reduction strategy, engage and collaborate with suppliers to collect CO2 data, and oversee McCain's global renewable electricity sourcing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Engagement & Scope 3 Reduction Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a global Scope 3 reduction strategy to help achieve McCain's 30% reduction target by leveraging strategic supplier partnerships.
    • Cultivate relationships with suppliers to collect CO2 data, refine emission factors, and improve Scope 3 inventory management.
    • Provide guidance and support to suppliers and internal teams to reduce emissions and track performance metrics.
  • Renewable Electricity Targets:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of McCain's global renewable electricity sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
    • Lead regional projects to maximize sustainability while minimizing costs, collaborating with energy managers to ensure project approvals and execution.
  • Responsible Sourcing Strategy:
    • Develop and refine McCain's Responsible Sourcing program in collaboration with regional teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective implementation and training.
    • Manage the SEDEX workstream and develop training programs for regional procurement teams to enhance responsible sourcing practices.
  • Sustainability Data & Reporting:
    • Collect, analyze, and provide recommendations on sustainability data to inform business decisions and meet McCain's sustainability goals.
    • Collaborate with the Global Sustainability team to develop annual procurement data collection and reporting processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a sustainability-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in corporate sustainability, with a strong focus on supplier engagement and responsible sourcing.
  • Experience in the agricultural or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as CDP, CSRD, and EUDR.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary global teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
