Business Development Associate

EcoVadis is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our sales team as a Business Development Associate - Sustainability Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting and qualifying leads, sourcing discovery meetings, and evangelizing the importance of sustainability and corporate social responsibility for the supply chain of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact and qualify leads to source discovery meetings for the sales team
- Evangelize the importance of sustainability and corporate social responsibility for the supply chain of companies
- Leverage marketing teams to develop target lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive prospect meetings in regional areas
- Maintain an activity volume with the intent to qualify leads and contribute to pipeline growth
- Meet or exceed sales quota
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competition
- Record and document all communication and meetings booked to identify trends for improvement
- Report results on a weekly basis, both qualitative and quantitative
- Quarterly business plan creation, reporting, and presentation to key stakeholders
- Leverage social networks for sales opportunities and leads
Qualifications:
- Outgoing personality with exceptional drive and desire to learn new skills and build a career in sales and marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
- Ability to work proactively and autonomously
- Undergraduate university degree
- At least 1 year of experience in Sales Development, Lead Generation, Sales and/or Marketing
- Experience working in sustainability, CSR, or B2B procurement a plus
- Cold-calling experience
- Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn, or other sales tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting
- Good time management with strong organizational skills
- Superior communication skills and ability to build rapport
- Ability to work well in an international team environment in a fast-growing business
