Your Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the development of our consolidated carbon metric reporting and other sustainability disclosures
  • Collaborate closely with our Sustainable Investing team to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices
  • Deliver education and training on sustainability reporting to OMERS teams
  • Research and analyze evolving sustainability reporting standards, providing recommendations to senior leaders
  • Evaluate and enhance our sustainability reporting processes and controls
  • Engage with external and internal auditors on sustainability reporting engagements
  • Participate in technical training and development opportunities

Requirements



  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in corporate financial reporting, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and corporate accounting processes
  • Minimum 3+ years in a leadership position, coaching and developing staff
  • Experience in sustainability reporting and ESG subject matter expertise is an asset
  • Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, or finance
  • CPA designation with an understanding of IFRS accounting standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at various levels
  • A self-starter who can work both independently and with a team, fostering a collegial team culture
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; experience in Alteryx and Power BI is an asset
  • Dedication to accuracy and timeliness
