Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Support Specialist to join our team at GreenSky. As a key member of our Default Servicing department, you will play a critical role in managing cases and performing a range of tasks from case inception through case closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned cases and their related tasks and projects, ensuring timely and efficient progression.
  • Perform a full range of tasks, including reviewing cases, filing court documents, and analyzing due diligence materials.
  • Monitor court dockets and take ownership of case progression, communicating effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Prepare documents, such as fee applications, proofs of claims, and settlements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review court dockets and various legal documents related to Default Servicing, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Prior legal or paralegal experience is essential, with a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and able to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, attorneys, clients, courts, and other professionals.
  • Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate, plus 5 years of experience in Default Servicing and/or Bankruptcy, Probate, Debt Management, or Loan Restructuring.
  • Experience with Default Servicing tools, such as TLO, Accurint, Lexis Nexis, Credit Bureau Reporting, PACER, Court E-Filing, Trustee Websites, and Third Party Debt Management Companies.
  • Experience with Katabat (CMC) collections system, FastTrack, and/or Salesforce.
  • Experience with call center technology and previous bankruptcy, probate, or debt management company experience.
  • Knowledge of FDCPA, US Bankruptcy Process and Procedures, State Probate Process, etc.
