Immunization Requirements:
A current immunization record is mandatory, including two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine series approved by Health Canada or the World Health Organization, unless an exemption is granted under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Qualifications:
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or partial completion of post-secondary nursing education
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a courteous approach to public interaction
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Capacity to accept guidance and work independently
- Satisfactory performance in current role
- Proven record of reliable attendance
- Current CPR certification
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and volunteers

- Proficiency in English communication (written and verbal) to ensure effective interaction with team members, patients, and families
- Basic computer skills

- Ability to perform essential duties, including physical tasks such as patient transfers
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with healthcare team members
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
- Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including feeding, transfers, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting
- Perform delegated tasks as assigned by a regulated health professional, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Provide medication assistance and reminders according to established policies
- Continuously monitor patients and their environments, reporting any unsafe conditions or changes in behavior, physical, or cognitive status to a supervisor
- Communicate and provide basic information related to daily living activities, meal planning, and preparation in accordance with the Plan of Care
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including communication in Meditech
- Restock patient rooms and necessary supplies as required
- Assist with patient transfers within the hospital
- Perform other duties as assigned
