Medical Imaging Specialist

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and implement protocols for imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the imaging process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Graduate of an approved training program in Radiography.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO).
- Knowledge of the CMRTO's Essential Competencies and ability to apply them in practice.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a high level of patient contact. You will be required to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
