Key Responsibilities- Provide technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, promoting a respectful and therapeutic environment.
- Acquire and process imaging data, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Coordinate daily activities to optimize workflow and case load, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Participate in continuous learning and education to maintain personal competence in interventional procedures, applying new knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Document procedures accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage inventory and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and restocking.
- Contribute to a safe and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Exercise professional judgment to adapt imaging and therapeutic procedures, improving diagnostic quality and therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to non-core staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, fostering open communication and cooperation.
- Graduate of an approved training program in Radiography.
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Current procedural scrub training required.
- Previous interventional radiology experience required.
- Experience in sterile environments and aseptic technique.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to service excellence and patient/staff satisfaction.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handling urgent situations requiring life-saving actions.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing for long periods and lifting.
