Company Overview:

The Manitoba Government is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Watercraft Inspector for Aquatic Invasive Species Management.

Job Description:

This role plays a critical part in enforcing Manitoba's Aquatic Invasive Species Regulation, particularly inspecting and decontaminating watercraft and water-related equipment. You will be responsible for communicating with and educating the public about the Province's Aquatic Invasive Species Program, as well as promoting and educating them about stewardship practices to prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species in Manitoba.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience working with the public, stakeholders, and interest groups
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Education, experience, and/or training related to environmental issues

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
