Job Summary:

The Claims Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to workers, employers, and healthcare providers by responding to and resolving claim-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and resolve claim-related inquiries via phone, email, or in-person
  • Assess and evaluate information to determine claim eligibility and entitlement
  • Communicate decisions to affected parties and provide clear explanations of claim processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve complex claims and ensure timely resolution
  • Update claim files and maintain accurate records
Requirements:
  • Completion of a two-year diploma in a related discipline (Business Administration)
  • Minimum two years' experience interpreting and applying processes and procedures to manage and resolve customer inquiries/concerns
  • Typing speed of 35 (error rate less than 5%)
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and software in a Windows environment
