Board Member – Treasurer [Volunteer] Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Board as Treasurer, supporting the financial governance of Manitoba Eco-Network.

About Our Organization:

The Manitoba Eco-Network (MbEN) is a registered charity committed to promoting environmental justice in Manitoba. Our mission includes facilitating connections, advocacy, and community-based research to ensure meaningful public participation in environmental governance.

This volunteer role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in non-profit governance and the environmental sector while making a positive impact on our community.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with strategic financial planning and fundraising initiatives.
  2. Serve as a liaison with external auditors during the audit process.

Requirements:

Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is preferred but not required.Experience in financial management and accounting is essential.What We Offer:

This role provides an estimated annual salary of $40,000-$60,000 based on industry standards and location.
