Job Summary

The Clinical Social Worker Associate position at McLean Hospital requires a highly skilled and compassionate individual to provide day-to-day treatment, management, and aftercare planning for patients. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing assessment and formulation of patient needs to update treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the Utilization Manager to manage patient care in a clinically and fiscally sound manner.
  • Ensure timely completion of all documentation and paperwork required for patient evaluation, transition, and billing.
  • Act as primary liaison with family and significant others, referrers, and community agencies to develop comprehensive discharge plans.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
  • Attaining Massachusetts LCSW licensure within 12 months of hire is a requirement for continued employment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a rapidly changing system of care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad range of clinical skills, including psychiatric assessment, crisis stabilization, and family support.
  • Experience in providing a range of clinical services, including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Experience in a managed care environment and the capacity to work collaboratively with managed care organizations.
