Job Summary

McLean Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LICSW to join our team as an Inpatient Therapist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to patients and their families, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address their unique challenges and goals.
  • Therapeutic Services: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, to promote patients' emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Discharge Planning: Coordinate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth transition to post-discharge care, connecting them with community resources and support services as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts (or equivalent independent Social Work licensure in the state where services are being provided).
  • Experience: A minimum of two years post-degree experience in an inpatient, partial, or outpatient setting, with a focus on mental health services.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and healthcare professionals.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records and other clinical databases, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies as needed.
