About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Counselor to join our team at Willow Place Inc. As a Trauma Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing support and services to individuals and families affected by family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapeutic Services: Assess and develop individualized therapeutic plans, establish a therapeutic relationship with clients, and provide counseling services to promote healing and recovery.
  • Case Management/Programming: Ensure client safety and well-being through risk assessments, safety planning, and case management, while also collaborating with community agencies to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Advocacy and Liaison with Community Collaterals: Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, advocate for clients' needs, and facilitate referrals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate documentation, statistics, and client files, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mental health nursing, counseling, psychology, or social work.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of supervised clinical counseling experience, with a focus on trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
