About the Opportunity

In this role, you will assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities. As a Physiotherapist in Nova Scotia Health's Rehabilitation Services portfolio, you will provide treatment plans and educate patients and other healthcare disciplines about their conditions.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, as they will be required to work effectively with various stakeholders, including patients, families, and caregivers. The Physiotherapist may provide service in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings.

To succeed in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. You must also be a member of the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists and hold current certification in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (BCLS). Additional education or training in specialized areas, such as cardio-respiratory techniques or manual therapy, is considered an asset.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
Working Conditions

This full-time position offers approximately 75 hours per bi-weekly pay period over a 7-month assignment. The successful candidate may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $33.97 to $42.89, depending on experience. This is a temporary hour-for-hour opportunity.
