About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university. Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists is also required. Additionally, you should have computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook. Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Provide education and communication to other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers
  • Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
  • Computer skills, including statistics input, word processing, and Outlook
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification
Working Conditions

This is a short assignment full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly. The successful candidate may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this position is $33.97 - $42.89.
