Insurance Account Representative Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Account Representative to join our team at Traci Langill Insurance Agency. As an Insurance Account Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Client Service: Assist clients with changes, cancellations, and updates to their insurance contracts, ensuring their needs are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Sales and Service: Establish personalized telephone contact with clients, creating a climate of trust conducive to the sale of home or auto insurance policies. Educate and advise clients on our products, adhering to our company's underwriting policies.
  • Sales Opportunities: Seize all sales opportunities, solicitation, and product offers to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Outbound Calls: Make outbound calls to clients and prospects to develop leads and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our agent to meet office sales goals and develop leads via the telephone and in person.
  • Urgency and Service: Demonstrate a sense of urgency to produce sales and service clients 100% of the time.
Qualifications:
  • Education: University degree or college diploma.
  • Sales Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience in outside sales, inside sales, retail, or telemarketing sales.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present to clients over the phone and in person.
  • Licenses: Must have OTL or RIBO license and be able to obtain LLQP (LIFE) within 10 weeks of hire.

These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. This agent's employees are not employees of Desjardins. Independent contractor agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.
