Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for acquiring goods and services needed to satisfy the manufacturing plan while minimizing shortages and inventory costs. This role requires effective communication with vendors to expedite delivery and negotiate favorable terms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure goods and services in accordance with the manufacturing plan.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure a stable and diverse supply chain.
- Participate in production meetings to address material shortages, arrival times, and supply chain-related questions.
Requirements and Skills:
- University, college, or technical post-secondary education.
- 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
- Experience with AX or D365 systems is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Fluency in French and English.
