Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for acquiring goods and services needed to satisfy the manufacturing plan while minimizing shortages and inventory costs. This role will also involve expediting goods delivery when necessary and negotiating with vendors to maintain a positive relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire goods and services to meet manufacturing demands.
  • Reduce part costs while improving quality and delivery times.
  • Expedite goods delivery when necessary.
  • Negotiate with vendors to maintain a positive relationship.
  • Qualify vendors and components.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Find new and alternative suppliers for existing and new components.

Requirements and Skills:

  • University, college, or technical post-secondary education.
  • 1 to 3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience with AX or D365 systems is an asset.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers.
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to develop recommendations and strategic solutions from data/information.
  • Well-organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • High sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing needs.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English.
