Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for acquiring goods and services needed to satisfy the manufacturing plan while minimizing shortages and inventory costs. This role requires effective communication with vendors to expedite delivery and negotiate favorable terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services in accordance with the manufacturing plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify and qualify new vendors to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • Participate in production meetings to address material shortages, arrival times, and supply chain-related questions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • University, college, or technical post-secondary education.
  • 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience with AX or D365 systems is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to develop recommendations and strategic solutions from data/information.
  • Well-organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English.
