**Specialist - Strategic Sourcing**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop procurement strategies with the buyers and requisitioners of the different business units for goods and services specific to their category.
- Act as a category expert and perform market intelligence to anticipate market trends.
- Lead or support strategic projects, the tendering process for strategic projects, the negotiation of agreements and dispute resolution under the best possible conditions within the timeframe required by the organization.
- Generate value for the organization (savings, avoided costs, etc.) by ensuring the financial performance of the category portfolio.
- Manage the business relationship with strategic suppliers and monitor their performance in relation to business needs and predefined performance indicators (KPIs).
- Establish a link with the main applicants and buyers of each division.
- Lead multidisciplinary meetings during category reviews.
- Ensure the follow-up of action plans leading to the achievement of savings identified for its categories.
- Prepare technical packages, negotiate prices, and follow up on production and delivery with overseas suppliers.
- Maintain accurate development charts and sample statuses and communicate with suppliers.
- Support quality control inquiries, send comments related to samples, initiate PO amendments, and perform data entry.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of production cycle and impact on design
- Good teamwork skills and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Be able to achieve a high level of confidence and work in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrate leadership and enjoy sharing knowledge.
- Ability to communicate succinctly, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess strong intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking, business acumen and financial literacy.
- Strong project management, problem solving and relationship management skills with suppliers.
- Ability to achieve results through partnerships, collaboration and positive influence
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
