Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Arts Professional to join our team at Tandoori Palace Restaurant Ltd. as an Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, requisition food and kitchen supplies, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations.
  • Cuisine Expertise: Possess expertise in East Indian cuisine and be able to train staff in preparation and cooking techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
