About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at DAVIE DOSA COMPANY. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Plan and prepare menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's culinary vision.
    • Estimate food requirements and manage inventory to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of different cuisines and cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality in our dishes.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
    • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory and Record Keeping
    • Manage inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Monitor and control costs to ensure they are within budget.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Restaurant setting.
  • Physical Demands
    • Physically demanding work environment.
    • Repetitive tasks.
    • Standing for extended periods.
