About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at DAVIE DOSA COMPANY. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as overseeing the kitchen and its operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality and delicious meals.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using your expertise to create unique and flavorful dishes.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have everything we need to operate at peak levels.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that they are clean and safe for our staff and customers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
