About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at DAVIE DOSA COMPANY. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as overseeing the kitchen and its operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient and effective food preparation.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
