Director, Indigenous Business Education and Engagement

This permanent position reports directly to the Dean of the Edwards School of Business. As the Director of Indigenous Business Education and Engagement, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote Indigenous business education, engagement, and success within the university.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Developing an Indigenous strategy, action plan, and tracking measures in collaboration with the Edwards Leadership Team.
  • Recruiting and retaining Indigenous students, faculty, and staff through targeted outreach and engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with faculty and instructors to develop educational materials that integrate Indigenous perspectives and teaching methods into the curriculum.
  • Conducting research on Indigenous business and economic development, and analyzing its impact on local communities.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the university, including faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are essential in this role.

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or education, or equivalent experience.
  • Seven to ten years of extensive knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and perspectives in Canada and Saskatchewan.
  • Prior experience in curriculum development, educational material creation, and program management would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Indigenous education, outreach, and engagement, with a strong understanding of post-secondary education and its role in Indigenous communities.

The salary range for this position is $85,555 - $142,503 per annum, based on a 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

This position requires a valid Saskatchewan driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Travel and weekend/evening work may be required.
