Senior Leadership Opportunity in Executive Education

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director, Executive Education. As a key member of the Edwards School of Business team, you will be responsible for the strategic management of all aspects of Executive Education programming and operations.

Reporting to the Dean, Edwards School of Business, this senior leadership role provides comprehensive oversight of the Executive Education operation. Key responsibilities include defining the vision, developing and implementing strategy, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, managing financial and people resources, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality custom and open enrollment executive and professional education programs.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Strategy Formulation and Implementation: Envision, articulate, and achieve a comprehensive, entrepreneurially focused strategy for Executive Education that aligns with and contributes to the overall College's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Client and Community Relations: Build and maintain exceptional relationships with clients, both current and prospective. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key professional organizations and corporate leaders and promote innovative offerings and capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Operational Oversight, Financial and Risk Management: Manage the Executive Education budget, develop a financial plan with annual growth targets, and monitor the implementation of all programs to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
  • People Resources: Manage human resource and labour relation activities, including staffing requirements, hiring decisions, coaching, training, and mentoring.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field, and 8-10 years of related experience in a leadership role, including leading people, budget, and financial management, and/or strategy development. A relevant graduate degree would be considered an asset. Experience with business development, marketing, and sales would be an asset.

The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience, estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on industry standards in Saskatchewan.
