Salary EstimateThe estimated salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of Nutrien's Indigenous Relations strategy, including engagement, communications, and external partnerships.
- Manage the Indigenous Relations team, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance, including building and managing annual budgets.
- Partner with colleagues in Human Resources, Procurement, Brand & Culture Communications, Operations, and Community Relations and Investment to build Indigenous Relations competency.
- Engage with existing external partners and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
- 15+ years of experience in Indigenous Relations in a corporate setting.
- A combination of experience and education in other fields will be considered relevant for the role.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relations theory and practice and proven relationship builder.
- In-depth knowledge of the shared history of Indigenous people in the Canadian context. Knowledge of the international Indigenous context is considered an asset.
This role requires a trusted advisor, strategic counsellor, and natural relationship builder to lead Nutrien's engagement with Indigenous communities where we operate. You are a collaborative leader capable of maintaining a solid relationship with our communities.
What You Will Bring- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to effectively present to diverse audiences, including internal and external stakeholders, and team members.
- An outcomes-based mindset and demonstrated experience building external partnerships from concept to results.
- A high level of discretion, judgement, and ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues.
- Ability to navigate a large corporate setting, often with competing demands.
