Solar Construction Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Field Coordinator to join our Solar Canada office. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our solar construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with updating drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Document field records for quality, production, labor, and materials to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Assist with inventory management and tracking time sheets, costs, and quantities to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs to support project planning and execution.
  • Assist in monitoring the quality plan, including conducting quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct basic safety inspections and training, identify and correct safety hazards, and lead by example in safety practices and procedures.
  • Assist the project team with subtrade partner management, including managing requests for information, shop drawings, changes, and billings, and workforce planning.
  • Assist with schedules and monitoring performance to ensure timely project completion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including supervisors and subtrade partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, trade, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of progressive experience as a field coordinator is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply basic construction principles, specifications, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, including supervisors and subtrade partners.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
