About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Engineering Manager, Analytics to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. As a key member of our Solar Canada office, you will play a critical role in overseeing the performance of all solar projects, ensuring maximum energy production and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough performance analysis and identify areas for improvement to optimize energy production and revenue.
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data irregularities, monitor trends, and proactively identify underlying issues.
  • Provide value engineering proposals to clients, focusing on functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
  • Negotiate project contracts, ensuring availability guarantees, performance ratios, and capacity test exhibits are accurately represented.
  • Prepare and present performance testing results and monthly or annual reports to clients and their independent engineers.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and SCADA suppliers, interpreting technical documents and ensuring compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovation, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive project success.
  • Identify and manage risk and opportunities on solar projects, ensuring the highest level of project delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of progressive construction experience, with leadership and mentoring skills preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the solar industry, including the operation and performance of solar projects.
  • Ability to monitor and forecast project resources and staffing for the project.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and opportunities on solar projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Experience in leading a team of 4-6 employees.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
