Position Summary

At Great Canadian Entertainment, we're passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to our guests. As a Casual On-Call Theatre Usher, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our shows run smoothly and our guests have an unforgettable time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and direct them to their assigned seating with a warm smile and a helping hand.
  • Regulate the flow of guests in and out of the theatre, maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
  • Respond to guest inquiries about resort events and amenities with expertise and enthusiasm.
  • Communicate effectively with operational departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external teams to drive success.
  • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed to support the success of our events.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on an as-needed basis, with varying shifts including early mornings and weekends.
  • Experience in the live entertainment industry is an asset, but not required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with guests and colleagues.
  • Customer service and/or hospitality experience to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, with a focus on guest comfort and safety.
  • Second language is an asset, but not required.
  • Serving It Right Certification or ability to achieve it.
  • Ability to obtain a criminal record and credit check.
