Job Summary

Great Canadian Entertainment is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Theatre Usher to join our team at the River Rock Show Theatre. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our live entertainment shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and direct them to their assigned seating, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience.
  • Regulate the flow of guests in and out of the theatre, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding resort events and amenities, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Communicate effectively with all operational departments to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to work on an as-needed or when-needed basis, with varying shifts including early mornings and weekends.
  • Experience and/or interest in the live entertainment industry is an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service and hospitality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, with a focus on maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Second language is an asset.
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve it is required.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a criminal record and credit check.
  • Commitment to continually increase knowledge of our products and services to offer exceptional experiences to our guests.
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills for personal and professional development.
