About the Role

Gentek Building Products - Canada is a leading manufacturer and distributor of exterior home improvement products. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with superior service, which can only be achieved by having a fantastic group of employees and a great work experience.

We are seeking a Regional Sales Director for our Central region, responsible for driving profitable growth through direct management of a team of outside Sales Representatives. The successful candidate will ensure that Gentek Sales Reps' activity and work processes support company sales objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Profitable Sales Growth/Business Strategy
    • Assist in establishing annual sales plans and targets by analyzing market trends and opportunities.
    • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Access, understand, and leverage data efficiently to drive sales growth and make informed decisions.
    • Effectively communicate opportunities and challenges with the sales team and company leaders.
  • Sales Operational Excellence
    • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and internal policies related to sales processes and activities.
    • Continually review and apply best practices for sales processes to establish high standards for performance.
    • Lead by example and share sales tools and data analysis skills with the team to drive sales excellence.
  • Employee Performance Management & Development
    • Lead the sales team to ensure alignment in strategy and action that supports sales targets.
    • Establish individual performance goals for Reps related to sales priorities and skill development.
    • Hire and train new Reps in accordance with identified competencies.
    • Complete meaningful and timely employee evaluations.
    • Coach and enable Sales Reps by acting as a mentor and leader, providing positive and productive interactions.
    Requirements
    • Track record of sales success and experience as a Sales Manager/Leader.
    • Valid G-class license required.
    • Deep working knowledge and application of full sales cycle activities.
    • Building products experience strongly preferred.
    • Proficient in use of Salesforce.
    • Post-secondary education in business or management related field.
    • Completion of reputed Sales Management training.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office, excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills required for internal and external contacts.
