The On-Corridor Works project is a pivotal initiative, transforming the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the GO Expansion scope. As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proud to be working on this ambitious project, which encompasses new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications, digital systems, maintenance, and more.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Safety Administrator to join our team in Toronto. This role will play a critical part in assisting local management with day-to-day administration and continuity of the Health & Safety Management System and Environmental Management System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure updated digital and non-digital safety information boards are maintained.
  • Prepare attendance lists and meeting minutes for various meetings.
  • Develop and maintain office risk assessments.
  • Support EHS training bookings, scheduling, facility arrangements, and events planning.
  • Review and document control of submitted inspections, incidents, and meetings.
  • Assist in preparing various monthly KPIs, reports, statistics, and employee training records.
  • Manage the EHS general inbox and inquiries, and follow up on all EHS documents.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Excellent knowledge of Canadian EHS legislation.
  • Able to travel occasionally to construction sites to support EHS & site teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and willingness to learn other software systems.
