Job Summary:

Wood's Homes is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth and Family Counsellor to join our Cottage 3 team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality services to children, youth, and families in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters personal and social development for each client.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and families, including attendance at case conferences and involvement in intervention strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or Nursing.
  • Minimum two to four years of experience in a related field.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Class 5 driver's license and own transportation.
