Wood's Homes is a leading mental health centre in Calgary, Alberta.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth and Family Counsellor I to join our Cottage 3 team.

Role Summary:

The Youth & Family Counsellor will work with children, youth, and families in a structured setting, providing high-quality services and meeting the requirements of our Health and Safety Management System.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a structured setting to foster personal and social development for each client.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings, team meetings, and training sessions to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Provide therapeutic support to children, youth, and families, including case management, intervention strategies, and consultations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the program and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or related field.
  • Minimum two to four years of experience in a related field.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people preferred.
  • Class 5 driver's license and own transportation required.
